P.O.O.R. VS B.R.O.K.E.

When it comes to these two subjects, majority of the people think of finances. Which is the main reason so many people stay in these two different states. First, we must also realize that they are not the same states of being. Secondly, we must acknowledge that these two are two totally different states of mind.

For years, I have been telling those around me that I would rather be broke than poor. Something that is broke can possibly be fixed. Which makes broke temporary. Poor is a state of mind that lacks proper repair. With that being said, let me further explain my perception of these two words in acronym format. When I began to better understand these two words, a better over standing of them being self-definitive became much clearer.

If you have a great mentor, you may have heard them describe P.O.O.R. as “Passing Over Opportunities Repeatedly”. To me this represents a state of mind that doesn’t want to take advantage of possible beneficial opportunities. This is something I don’t believe in doing. I am willing to take advantage of any possible beneficial opportunity. Which eliminates me from the P.O.O.R. class.

To me B.R.O.K.E. means “Basic Reconstruction Of Known Endeavors”. Meaning that if one plan fails, pick up the pieces, process the next plan until your GOAL is accomplished. We all must transition to picking up the pieces where they have fell and re-assess on another way to fix what is or was broken in the previous plan.

So, we all need to work on abolishing the P.O.O.R. state of my and fix what has been broken. Only you can fix you. The greatest repair man/woman in your life is you. Stay focused on your repair and betterment. Fix what is broken within and progress on the outs…
